[1] Thus have I heard:

Once the Exalted One addressed the monks,
saying:

"Monks."

"Yes, lord," replied those monks to the Exalted One.

The Exalted One said:

"Monks, there are these four limbs of stream-winning.

What four?

Consorting with the good,
hearing the Good Norm,
thorough mindful attention
and practice in accordance with the Norm.

These are the four limbs of stream-winning."
