In- and Out-breath Minding
With body controlled and erect, intentionally bring presence of mind to the area of the mouth and mind the out-breath; mind the in-breath;
with a long out-breath think: 'My out-breath was long', and thus become consciously aware;
with a long in-breath think: 'My in-breath was long', and thus become consciously aware;
with a short out-breath think: 'My out-breath was short', and thus become consciously aware;
with a short in-breath thinks: 'My in-breath was short', and thus become consciously aware.
And again, deeper than that, mind the in- and out-breathing, thinking:
'I will breath out experiencing all the body';
'I will breath in experiencing all the body';
'Calming down the confounded body I will breath out';
'Calming down the confounded body I will breath in';
'Experiencing enthusiasm I will breath out';
'Experiencing enthusiasm I will breath in';
'Experiencing pleasure I will breath out';
'Experiencing pleasure I will breath in';
'Experiencing the confounded mind I will breath out';
'Experiencing the confounded mind I will breath in';
'Calming down the confounded mind I will breath out';
'Calming down the confounded mind I will breath in';
'Experiencing the mind I will breath out';

'Overjoyed at mind I will breath out';
