Nakula-Pitā Suttaṃ

Ekaṃ samayaṃ Bhagavā Bhaggesu viharati Suṃsumāragire bhesakalāvane Migadāye|| ||
[2] Atha kho Nakula-pitā gahapati yena Bhagavā ten'upasaṅkami.|| ||
Upasaṅkamitvā Bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekaeka-m-antaṃ nisīdi|| ||
[3] Eka-m-antaṃ nisinno kho Nakula-pitā gahapati Bhagavantaṃ etad avoca:|| ||
"Aham asmi bhante, jiṇṇo vuddho mahallako addhagato vayo anuppatto ātura-kāyo abhikkhaṇātaṅko||
aniccadassāvī kho panāhaṃ bhante,||
Bhagavato mano-bhāvanīyānañ ca bhikkhūnaṃ||
Ovadatu maṃ bhante Bhagavā, anusāsatu maṃ bhante Bhagavā,||
yaṃ mama assa dīgha-rattaṃ hitāya sukhāyā" ti|| ||
[4] "Evam etaṃ gahapati, evam etaṃ gahapati,||
āturo te gahapati,||
kāyo aṇḍabhūto pariyonaddho||
Yo hi gahapati.||
Imaṃ kāyaṃ pariharanto muhuttam pi ārogyaṃ paṭijāneyya,||
kimaññatra bālyā.|| ||
Tasmātiha te gahapati, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ:|| ||
'Āturakāyassa me sato cittaṃ anāturaṃ bhavissatī' ti|| ||
Evaṃ hi te gahapati, sikkhitabban" ti.|| ||

[5] Atha kho Nakula-pitā gahapati Bhagavato bhāsitaṃ [2] abhinan'ditvā anumo-ditvā uṭṭhāy āsanā Bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā padakkhiṇaṃ katvā yen'āyasmā Sāriputto ten'upasaṅkami.|| ||
Upasaṅkamitvā āyasmantaṃ Sāriputtaṃ abhivādetvā eka-m-antaṃ nisīdi.|| ||
[6] Eka-m-antaṃ nisinnaṃ kho Nakula-pitaraṃ gahapatiṃ āyasmā Sāriputto etada voca:|| ||
"Vi-p-pasannāni kho te gahapati, indriyāni,||
parisuddho mukha-vaṇṇo pariyodāto,||
alattha no ajja Bhagavato sammukhā Dhammiṃ kathaṃ savaṇāyā" ti.|| ||
"Kiṃ hi no siyā bhante, idānāhaṃ bhante,||
Bhagavatā Dhammiyā kathāya amatena abhisitto" ti.|| ||
"Yathā kathaṃ pana tvaṃ gahapati,||
Bhagavatā Dhammiyā kathāya amatena abhisitto" ti?|| ||
[7] "Idh'āhaṃ bhante, yena Bhagavā ten'upasaṅkamiṃ.|| ||
Upasaṅkamitvā Bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā eka-m-antaṃ nisīdiṃ.|| ||
Eka-m-antaṃ nisinno kho'haṃ bhante, Bhagavantaṃ etad avocaṃ:||

kāyo aṇḍabhūto pariyonaddho.|| ||
Yo hi gahapati,||
imaṃ kāyaṃ pariharanto muhuttam pi ārogyaṃ paṭijāneyya,||
kim aññatra bālyā.|| ||
Tasmātiha te gahapati,||
evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ:|| ||
'Āturakāyassa me sato cittaṃ anāturaṃ bhavissatī' ti.|| ||
Evaṃ hi te gahapati, sikkhitabban" ti.|| ||
Evaṃ khv'āhaṃ bhante,||
Bhagavatā dhammiyā kathāya amatena abhisitto" ti.|| ||
[8] "Na hi pana taṃ gahapati,||
paṭibhāsi Bhagavantaṃ uttariṃ paṭipucchituṃ:|| ||
'Kittāvatā nu kho bhante,||
ātura-kāyo c'eva hoti ātura-citto ca?|| ||
Kittāvatā ca pana ātura-kāyo hi kho hoti,||
no ca ātura-citto' ti?"|| ||
[3] [9] "Dūrato pi kho mayaṃ bhante,||
āgaccheyyāma āyasmato Sāriputtassa santike etassa bhāsitassa attham aññātuṃ.|| ||
Sādhu vatāya-smantaṃ yeva Sāriputtaṃ paṭibhātu etassa bhāsitassa attho" ti.|| ||
[10] "Tena hi gahapati,||
suṇāhi sādhukaṃ manasi karohi,||
bhāsissāmī" ti.|| ||
"Evaṃ bhante" ti||
kho Nakula-pitā gahapati āyasmato Sāriputtassa paccassosi.|| ||
[11] Āyasmā Sāriputto etad avoca:|| ||
"Kathañ ca gahapati,||
ātura-kāyo c'eva hoti ātura-citto ca?|| ||
[12] Idha gahapati,||
a-s-sutavā puthujjano||
ariyānaṃ adassāvī||
ariya-Dhammassa||
akovido ariya-Dhamme avinīto,||
sappurisānaṃ adassāvī||
sappurisa-Dhammassa||
akovido sappurisa-Dhamme avinīto,||
rūpaṃ attato samanupassati,||
rūpa-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
attani vā rūpaṃ,||
rūpasmiṃ vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||
'Ahaṃ rūpaṃ mama rūpan' ti||
pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyī hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ rūpaṃ, mama rūpan' ti||
pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino taṃ rūpaṃ pariṇamati,||
aññathā hoti.|| ||
Tassa rūpa-vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā uppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domanass'upāyāsā.|| ||

[13] Vedanaṃ attato samanupassati,||
vedanā-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
attani vā vedanaṃ,||
vedanāya vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||
'Ahaṃ vedanā, mama vedanā' ti pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyi hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ vedanā, mama vedanā' ti||
pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino sā vedanā vipariṇamati,||
aññathā hoti.|| ||
Tassa vedanā-vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā uppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domanass'upāyāsā.|| ||
[14] Saññaṃ attato samanupassati,||
saññā-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
attani vā saññaṃ,||
saññāya vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||

'Ahaṃ saññā, mama saññā' ti pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyi hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ saññā, mama saññā' ti||
pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino sā saññā vipariṇamati,||
aññathā hoti.|| ||
Tassa saññā-vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā uppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkhamenass'upāyāsā.|| ||

[15] Saṅkhāre attato samanupassati,||
saṅkhāra-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
attani vā saṅkhāre,||
saṅkhāresu vā attāṇaṃ.
'Ahaṃ saṅkhārā, mama saṅkhārā' ti pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyī hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ saṅkhārā, mama saṅkhārā' ti||
pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino te saṅkhārā vipariṇamanti,||
aññathā honti.|| ||
Tassa saṅkhāra- [4] vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā uppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domanass'upāyāsā.|| ||

[16.] Viññāṇaṃ attato samanupassati,||
viññāṇa-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
attani vā viññāṇaṃ,||
viññāṇasmiṃ vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||
'Ahaṃ viññāṇaṃ, mama viññāṇan' ti pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyī hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ viññāṇaṃ, mama viññāṇan' ti||
pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino taṃ viññāṇaṃ vipariṇamati,||
aññathā hoti.|| ||
Tassa viññāṇam-vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā uppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domanass'upāyāsā.|| ||
[17] Evaṃ kho gahapati,||
ātura-kāyo c'eva hoti||
ātura-citto ca.|| ||

[18] Kathañ ca gahapati,||
ātura-kāyo pi kho hoti,||
no ca ātura-citto?|| ||
[19] Idha gahapati,||
sutavā ariya-sāvako||
ariyānaṃ dassāvī||
ariya-Dhammassa kovido||
ariya-Dhamme suvinīto,||
sappurisānaṃ dassāvī||
sappurisa-Dhammassa kovido||
sappurisa-Dhamme suvinīto||
na rūpaṃ attato samanupassati,||
na rūpa-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
na attani vā rūpaṃ,||
na rūpasmiṃ vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||
'Ahaṃ rūpaṃ, mama rūpan' ti na pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyī hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ rūpaṃ, mama rūpan' ti||
apariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino taṃ rūpaṃ vipariṇamati,||
aññathā hoti.|| ||
Tassa rūpa-vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā nūppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domanass'upāyāsā.|| ||

[20] Na vedanaṃ attato samanupassati,||
na vedanā-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
na attani vā vedanaṃ,||
na vedanāya vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||
'Ahaṃ vedanā, mama vedanā' ti||
na pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyī hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ vedanā, mama vedanā' ti||
apariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino sā vedanā vipariṇamati,||
aññathā hoti.|| ||
Tassa vedanā-vipariṇāmaññāthābhāvā nūppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domanass'upāyāsā.|| ||

[21] Na saññaṃ attato samanupassati,||
na saññā-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
na attani vā saññaṃ,||
na saññāya vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||
'Ahaṃ saññā, mama saññā' ti||
na pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyī hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ saññā, mama saññā' ti||
apariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino sā saññā vipariṇamati,||
aññathā hoti.|| ||
Tassa saññā-vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā nūppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domansass'upāyāsā.|| ||

[5] [22] Na saṅkhāre attato samanupassati,||
na saṅkhāra-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
na attani vā saṅkhāre,||
na saṅkhāresu vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||
'Ahaṃ saṅkhārā, mama saṅkhāra' ti na pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyī hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ saṅkhārā, mama saṅkhārā' ti||
apariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino te saṅkhārā vipariṇamanti,||
aññathā honti.|| ||
Tassa saṅkhāra-vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā nūppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domanass'upāyāsā.|| ||

na viññāṇa-vantaṃ vā attāṇaṃ,||
na attani vā viññāṇaṃ,||
na viññāṇasmiṃ vā attāṇaṃ.|| ||
'Ahaṃ viññāṇaṃ, mama viññāṇan' ti na pariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyī hoti.|| ||
Tassa 'Ahaṃ viññāṇaṃ, mama viññāṇan ti apariyuṭṭhaṭṭhāyino taṃ viññāṇaṃ vipariṇamati,||
aññathā hoti.|| ||
Tassa viññāṇa-vipariṇām-aññathā-bhāvā nūppajjanti soka-parideva-dukkha-domanass'upāyāsā.|| ||
[24] Evaṃ kho gahapati,||
ātura-kāyo hoti,||
no ca ātura-citto" ti.|| ||
Idam avoca āyasmā Sāriputto||
atta-mano Nakula-pitā gahapati āyasmato Sāriputtassa bhāsitaṃ abhinandīti.|| ||
