Index of Similes
At this point this Index is a proofed version of the 'back-of-the-book indexes of the Pāḷi Text Society translations. The DB, MLS and GS 1 (1s, 2s, 3s) and 2 (4s) are fully linked; (GS3, 4 and 5 (Fives through Elevens) and KS 1 through 5 have only been partially linked or not linked at all. Nevertheless it is at this point usable. To find an item that is not linked, go to the PTS page indicated for that entry in the Sutta Index and append the page number [#pg000] to the end of the address. Suttas by other translators are linked to from the Sutta Index or from the PTS sutta at the top of the translation. I understand that this is complicated and will not appeal as a way to search for many, but it can be done and may be useful to some.
—p.p.
For an Index of subjects found in the four Nikāyas, see the Sutta Search index. For a dictionary of Pāḷi terms see this site's version of the Pāḷi Text Society's Pāḷi-English Dictionary. The full 2-volume edition of the Dictionary of Pāḷi Proper Names [DPPN] is available in
